The European Commission’s 11 August 2026 notice explains that the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation begins phased application on 12 August. This does not make every provision applicable on the same day.

Define the material’s intended use
Our equipment-selection perspective is to establish resin, colour, labels and other contamination before selecting sorting, granulation and later processing. Particle size alone cannot establish material compliance.
Communicate with supporting evidence
Document feedstock, processing and relevant test evidence for downstream customers. Distinguish evidence available today from future plans, and verify legal applicability against the formal documents.
