A whole-chain policy
China’s National Development and Reform Commission and other departments issued an action plan for promoting recycled materials. The notice was published on 31 December 2025. Recycled plastics are included alongside steel, non-ferrous metals and paper.
Graded material supply
The plan addresses classification and grading of recycled plastics and higher-value recovery. In equipment discussions, our practical focus is to consider sorting, contamination and the intended output together.
Connections with manufacturing
The plan covers applications in automotive, electrical and electronic products, textiles and packaging, as well as standards, certification and traceability. Specific products must still meet their own quality and use requirements.
